Asphalt Repair And Patching

Asphalt Repair & Maintenance

High Country Landworks provides asphalt repair, hot-mix patching, pothole repair, crack sealing, and failed-section replacement for driveways, private roads, parking areas, and other paved surfaces — residential, commercial, mountain, and rural.

Whether it’s one bad spot or several areas starting to go, we look at what’s actually happening before we fix it. Asphalt takes a beating up here — traffic, plows, freeze-thaw, water working into cracks — and once the base underneath starts moving, a small problem turns into a big one fast. Catching it early keeps a manageable repair from becoming a full section replacement.

Hot-Mix Patching

For asphalt that’s broken, sunken, or lost its support underneath — a surface treatment won’t hold. We remove the damaged asphalt, fix what’s underneath if it needs it, and place and compact new hot-mix so the repair actually ties into the surrounding pavement instead of sitting as a patch dropped in a hole.

Covers failed driveway and private-road sections, parking-area repairs, damaged entrances, utility trench patches, edge failures, and settled or depressed areas.

Pothole Repair

Most potholes start with water getting into cracked pavement and breaking down the base underneath — the hole is just where it finally gives. We remove the loose material, fix the base if needed, and patch it right with hot-mix, whether it’s one pothole or several scattered across a driveway or lot.

Crack Sealing

Not every cracked surface needs to be torn out. If the pavement around it is still solid, sealing keeps water out and slows further damage — especially up here, where water in a crack freezes, expands, and keeps working the asphalt apart each winter. If an area’s already failing structurally, patching or replacement makes more sense than sealing over it, and we’ll tell you which one you’re actually looking at.

When It’s More Than the Surface

Sinking, repeated potholes in the same spot, or heavy cracking usually means the problem’s underneath — not just on top. Because we also do excavation, grading, and drainage work, we can fix the actual cause: correcting the base, improving drainage, and then repaving, instead of resurfacing something that’s going to fail again in a year.

Edges, Aprons & Tie-Ins

Entrances, pavement edges, and trench cuts are common trouble spots — unsupported edges break away, entrances settle, and utility cuts need to be restored so they tie in clean instead of leaving a seam that fails first. We handle driveway aprons, roadway transitions, trench repairs, and entrance points.
