Driveways and Culvert Installation and Repair

Driveway Grading, Repair, and Culvert Installation

High Country Landworks handles driveway grading, repair, and reconstruction, private road maintenance, drainage correction, and culvert installation and repair for rural, mountain, residential, agricultural, and commercial properties.

A driveway has to do more than look decent — it has to hold up under regular traffic, move water correctly, and survive rain, snow, freeze-thaw, and runoff season after season. Most driveway problems that keep coming back aren’t actually surface problems — they’re drainage problems showing up on the surface. We grade and repair the driveway and fix what’s causing the damage at the same time, so you’re not paying to patch the same spot again next spring.

Who We Serve

  • Ranches and agricultural properties
  • Private roads and shared access routes
  • Rural and mountain properties
  • Rental and managed properties
  • Cabins and seasonal properties
  • Residential homes and driveways
  • Commercial properties and local businesses

Work ranges from a routine grading and pothole repair to full reconstruction, new access installation, and culvert replacement.

Driveway Grading and Repair

Regular grading restores shape, smooths washboarding, fills potholes, and corrects the crown and slope so water sheds off the surface instead of sitting on it or cutting ruts down the middle.

  • Pothole and washboard correction
  • Reshaping crowned or improperly sloped sections
  • Repairing ruts and washed-out areas
  • Reworking entrances and turnarounds
  • Spreading and grading new road base or gravel

Reconstruction and New Installation

Deep ruts, soft spots, chronic washouts, or years of patching over the same problem usually mean the driveway needs to be rebuilt, not re-graded. We remove failed material, correct the subgrade and drainage, and rebuild with base material that’ll actually hold.

We also install new driveways and access routes — for homes, ranches, commercial sites, and undeveloped parcels — planned around slope, drainage, entrance location, and what’s actually going to be driving on it.

Culvert Installation and Repair

An undersized, crushed, plugged, or poorly placed culvert backs water up, overtops the driveway, and washes out everything around it — no amount of regrading fixes that if the culvert underneath is the actual problem.

  • New culvert installation and replacement
  • Repositioning improperly installed culverts
  • Cleaning and reopening blocked drainage routes
  • Repairing erosion and washouts near culvert crossings
  • Rebuilding driveway sections damaged by drainage failure

Private Roads and Rural Access

Long driveways and ranch roads carry heavier loads over rougher terrain than a standard residential drive — steep grades, narrow sections, drainage crossings, tight turnarounds. We handle these as one-time improvements or ongoing maintenance to keep them usable year-round.

“They arrived on time and did a great job… a job well done at a reasonable price.” — Deanne M.
